From 2019 to 2023, the global economy underwent significant transformation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Taiwan’s robust healthcare infrastructure, effective public health policies, and collective societal efforts mitigated economic disruptions, enabling growth in the technology and green energy sectors. By 2021, Taiwan achieved a renewable energy milestone with substantial installed solar capacity, underscoring its commitment to sustainability. Simultaneously, Taiwan’s semiconductor and IT industries reinforced their critical roles in the global supply chain, achieving an impressive 20% growth.

Amid this evolving economic landscape, JCA expanded its presence across Taiwan and the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in the automotive, energy, and technology sectors. Collaborations with clients such as Audi Taiwan, Porsche Taiwan, Micro Electricity, and EDF Renewables drove brand transformation and strengthened connections between corporations and society.

From 2014 to 2018, Taiwan experienced steady economic growth. Exports reached a record high in 2018, with a 5.9% increase driven by strong global demand for tech products, according to the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Smart technology and IoT became increasingly integrated into everyday life, while advancements in green energy and sustainability gained significant momentum.

In this favorable environment, JCA achieved consistent progress. We continued to support long-term clients such as Audi and Amway, while forging new partnerships with Emirates Airline, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Schneider Electric. These successes highlighted JCA’s ability to adapt and thrive across diverse industries.

JCA also tapped into emerging markets. Highlights included managing the inaugural Taipei-Xiamen ferry service, which created new pathways for travel and trade between Taiwan and mainland China, breathing fresh life into Taiwan’s tourism sector. Additionally, we facilitated the reopening of the BRAND’S Health Museum, enhancing public engagement with healthy living, and led Vainglory’s debut at the Taipei Game Show, building the game’s connection with its fanbase.

Between 2009 and 2013, Taiwan faced economic challenges in the wake of the 2008 global financial crisis, experiencing its second period of economic contraction since 2001, with unemployment peaking at 6.13% in August 2009. However, the economy rebounded swiftly, supported by improved cross-strait relations. The 2010 signing of the Cross-Strait Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) enhanced bilateral trade, opening new opportunities for business and cultural exchanges.

In this dynamic environment, JCA expanded its services, leveraging innovative public relations strategies to help clients navigate market volatility and achieve success. Our client portfolio grew to include prominent brands such as Audi, Amway, and Emirates, alongside new collaborations with forward-thinking companies like AirAsia and Expedia.com, showcasing JCA’s ability to excel in traditional and emerging markets.

JCA’s commitment extended beyond business, as demonstrated by our work with the Amway Hope Maker Charity Foundation. This collaboration bolsters brand reputation and fostering meaningful social impact. This partnership highlights the critical role of public relations in driving positive societal change.

JCA also helped elevate Taiwan’s global profile. In 2009, we orchestrated Amway China’s MICE tour, hosting 12,000 top business owners. This marked the first direct cross-strait travel in six decades, generating extensive media coverage across multiple media platforms. For over two months, Taiwan’s culinary delights, scenic beauty, and cultural warmth became trending topics, igniting a surge in cross-strait tourism. Additionally, we led Royal Caribbean Cruises’ media campaigns to position Taiwan as a new port of call, underscoring our expertise in advancing Taiwan’s tourism and global presence.

Between 2004 and 2008, the world entered a new era of diversity and digital advancement. Taiwan, emerging from the 2003 SARS epidemic, demonstrated remarkable resilience and vitality. In 2007, Taiwan achieved a 5.7% GDP growth, with consumers rapidly embracing technology—particularly in e-commerce, online services, and digital entertainment—driving explosive growth in these sectors and transforming traditional manufacturing industries.

During this dynamic period, JCA showcased exceptional agility and strategic innovation. We delivered customized, high-impact PR services for globally recognized brands such as Amway, ClubMed, Zuji online travel platform, Alcon Pharmaceutical, and BRAND’S, strengthening their market presence and competitive edge.

JCA also contributed significantly to social and philanthropic initiatives, demonstrating strong planning and execution capabilities. Our campaigns included Taiwan Lottery’s disadvantaged care series, Standard Chartered’s charitable events for the visually impaired, the Estée Lauder Pink Ribbon campaign, Bayer’s scholarships for hemophilia patients, and Amway's rural screening tour for the documentary Jump! In the cultural sphere, JCA orchestrated the National Palace Museum’s 80th anniversary event, "Old is New: Fashioning the Palace Museum," blending traditional culture with modern fashion.
